ARTIST BIO

”I am an audio and visual artist. I create glitches and breaks.”

royb0t paints rich sonic-soundscapes in shades of Industrial, IDM, Breaks and beyond. Early performances began with loft parties and underground shows featuring a wonderful cast of midwest breakcore/chiptune musicians. While these particular ecstatic experiences have concluded, exploring sound has never stopped. After the release of Gradient Ascent (2017, Album) showcasing sonic diversity and video art, royb0t joined Thinkbreak Records. Subsequent notable Thinkbreak releases include the IDM behemoth of a concept album, Black Burst Generator with related Generation Loss single (both in 2020), and most recently the dancefloor-oriented, genre-jumping, high-energy world of Void Glide (2023).

royb0t runs badtvlab, dabbling with visuals and graphic design as seen frequently on Thinkbreak Records album art, event fliers and music videos. Under the visual art moniker bzzrk stands a sizeable amount of digital artwork including a featured artist for and periodic collaborator with Glitch Artist Collective as early as its initial founding in 2014. Some notable video works include Light Sleeper, Heavy Dreamer (2020) a live game performance created by suture, performed in collaboration with live audio scoring, analog glitch and edits on the Black Dresses - Creep U (2020, blacksquares) music video, and the BOSCO x Treasure Fingers - Names (2014, Fools Gold Recs) music video. royb0t regularly joins Nevada Hardware on-stage to perform live visuals as well.
